About Lonnie Webster Photography
Welcome. My name is Lonnie Webster. Thanks for taking the time to view my web site. I have a passion for capturing life through photography. I love photojournalism, my belief is that "photojournalism is the art of photographing a verb". I began my career with IBM as a Customer Service Engineer later I went to work with Eastman Kodak and learned many problem solving techniques as well as how to provide great customer service with these two companies. The problem solving skills are a perfect fit to photography. When I retired I decided to try a new career and was ready to explore my creative side and with my love of photography, my artistic side flourished. I had always had a love for travel and the camera had followed me to many beautiful places. I believe in immersing yourself in other cultures to expand your own horizon and understand your own culture. I have traveled to Croatia, Cuba, Central America, Italy, Canada and Alaska to capture amazing vistas, wonderful architecture and enchanting faces in these great locations. Each image must tell a story, whether photographing seniors families or wedding portraits, I wants to bring out the personality of the people in front of the camera. Each image should tell a story about the location, the person, their occupation, the season, the mood,or the mile stone in their life. I have trained with master photographers Hanson Fong, Bob Boyd, and Tony Corbell. I'm a member of the North Carolina Professional Photographers and The National Press Photographers Association. I believe that passion should be coupled with education to produce the finest quality photograph for my clients. My work has been published in numerous publications both on the local and national level. I'm available for destination publications, weddings, senior photographs, and family portraits. My wife Ada and I live in the beautiful town of Blowing Rock North Carolina.
